    How would they have ended?

Sister_mike is throwing in the towel. I'm done with this. Is it due to recent, negative, unasked for, douche-baggery that I have once again encountered on this site? Maybe. Is it because I simply don't have the time and energy any more to put into completing these stories? More probable than the former.

    New Cover

I've made a new cover for "The Reception's Been Canceled". This was fueled by the news that darkshadow051 has done a reading of the story on his YouTube channel. The reading can be found here.

    :)

I'd like to thank the person who randomly decided to give all of my stories a thumb-down for no apparent reason. May you continue to spam & troll happily, until the day your car rolls over :)

How would they have ended? · 2:45am Sep 13th, 2013

Sister_mike is throwing in the towel. I'm done with this. Is it due to recent, negative, unasked for, douche-baggery that I have once again encountered on this site? Maybe. Is it because I simply don't have the time and energy any more to put into completing these stories? More probable than the former.

Does this mean that I "can't take constructive criticism"? Absolutely not. As I have stated before, I don't take the stories I write on here seriously. I am not asking for feedback. I'm putting them out there to get the idea out (because generally when I come up with a new pony fic idea, I'm really excited and passionate about it) and to entertain people. And myself. I can assure you that I know how to write. No author is perfect in their writing, obviously, but I'm not stupid. I'm studying grammar and I teach English. The stories—non-pony of course—that I do take seriously, are much more professional than the ones seen on here. This is quick, rough stuff. I know that the characters aren't properly developed in The Seeds of Romance. I know that the pacing is jumpy and quick in The Creation of Discord and the Heartbreak of Celestia. I don't need you to point it out to me, and it's rude to do so without me asking for you opinion.

People are fragile (some more than others), and we tend to forget this when we speak in text and over distance. It's easy to say something rude and mean when the person isn't in front of you. Cyberbullying is easier than regular bullying. I've talked about this before, in a previous blog, but it's true. I've seen people on this site who are so excited about their stories, but cancel them after all of the negative feedback. There's "constructive criticism" and then there's just being plain rude. Instead of just spitting out negative or blunt constructive criticism, why not try something like "This story is really interesting. I'd love to help you edit it, if you would like". Forgive me if I'm being stereotypically Canadian, but seriously, where are some people's manners? Politeness goes a long way. Take a step back and think before you post.

Does this mean I'm a poor sport? Depends on your opinion. Douchebag will clearly think so, and he's allowed to think that. What he needs to learn though, is that there is a difference between "your" and "you're." I won't take any internet fighting seriously if you can't write basic grammar correctly.
Obviously I've just encountered some act of rudeness that has pissed me off and encouraged me to write this blog post, but the thought of turning my back on FimFic has been there for a while. Maybe this was just the shove I needed. I'm pressed for time right now, busy with studies, work, and wedding planning, and any time I have to write I need to dedicate to serious writing, not pony fics.

Will I really be gone forever? Who knows. I've always been a bit more on the dramatic side, so maybe I'll come back in a few months, like I did a bit after my last "leaving" post, but this time I've set my unfinished work to "canceled" instead of "on hiatus." And because of this, I am going to tell you how they would have ended. If I do ever continue to write, these will obviously be spoilers:

Post Reception Stories: The only story I really have left to tell here is Twilight's. I've postponed it so long because I'm not sure in which direction I want(ed) to take it. It would involve showing that Trixie is being helpful in Ponyville and establishing herself there. Her ego has gone down a bit, and I was originally thinking she might open a school of magic or something, but then I thought that would be too similar to Rainbow Dash's Post Reception story.
Also in Twilight's story, it would be revealed that Zecora is, indeed, still alive. She used some type of magic that Twilight was not familiar with to get rid of/transport the changelings and had transported herself as well. She couldn't transport back, and had to travel from afar to get back home, and that is why she is presumed dead. Twilight then comments on the different types of magic and that maybe, magic isn't quite what she really thought it was. Magic can be different things and come in many different forms.

Pretty Little Ponies: This one I hadn't quite planned out as well as the others. There would be no twins like in the real Pretty Little Liars books, it would be closer to the first arc of that story, where it is just someone in the town that is blackmailing them.
Twilight would be called out on cheating on a test/report, some data that she stole from Spike.
Rainbow Dash, who robbed a bank, would start to get nervous as the police began to look into the break in a bit more closely, and narrow down the suspect to being a female pegasus.
Rarity would eventually break up with Blueblood, either after her friends found out either by her telling them or by G exposing it.
Applejack, it would be revealed, has a huge crush on Derpy. What makes this difficult is not only does nopony know that she is a lesbian, but "The Derpy" thing that they keep referencing too. Which, like "The Jenna Thing" in the PLL books, is a past event that involved all 6 ponies and their friend Golden Pearl, and essentially, they were what made Derpy "derpy".
Pinkie Pie would eventually get over her eating disorder.
Fluttershy would try to get in contact with the filly she left at the orphanage. She would reclaim custody of her/just adopt her, and it would be later revealed that Big Mac was the father. They had started a relationship, but after Fluttershy got pregnant, she panicked and broke up with him. They would reconcile.
I never got as far as to planning out who the one threatening them was. It would have been interesting to see who it turned out to be.

My Little Senshi: Ah, this story. I like this story. Twilight would eventually find the sleeping Amazon Quartet under the palace, instead of the Crystal Heart. But she and the others (excluding Fluttershy) would have trouble waking them, and would continue to try and find the Crystal Heart and ward off the Crystal Ponies from learning the truth that it is missing. Eventually, King Sombra breaks through the barrier. The Mane 6 try to use the Elements of Harmony against him, but they fail. The Crystal Heart then reveals itself from somewhere, and they try to use all 7 Elements of Harmony, but they again fail. It is then that 5 of the Mane 6 move on to using their Senshi Powers. Fluttershy is initially knocked out during this phase from being overpowered by her own power, because she has not been awakened as Sailor Saturn, and so does not know what is going on. Just as the scouts/ponies are beginning to fail in their battle against King Sombra, Sailor Saturn awakens and just takes him down. After she defeats him, she turns to the others and asks what they wish her to do, aka, if they wish to be reborn. Twilight and the others, including Celestia and Luna who show up at one point, say that they wish to rest in peace and be done with the world. Their souls need to rest. Essentially, they ask to die and be free. Fluttershy grants them that, and then destroys the Earth and rebuilds it again, with Cadance and Shining Armor finally having their chance to rule their Millennium, the Amazon Quartet are reborn, and Fluttershy is reborn as well.

The Creation of Discord and the Heartbreak of Celestia: This one was going to be interesting. Dissonance and Celestia were going to start a relationship and become madly in love with each other. Dissonance, always trying to impress Celestia, would turn to different and dark magic. He would eventually begin to transform himself, first by giving himself a second horn. He would tell Celestia that Star Swirl the Bearded was right, that they would rule Equestria, but Dissonance does not want to bring peace to the ponies. He thinks that they, the alicorns, are superior. Plus, he thinks the chaos and discord between the different ponies is just too fun. Eventually he keeps transforming and adding things to himself, that he is only left with the head of a pony, and even then he does not resemble himself. Celestia, heartbroken, decides that Dissonance (who now prefers to be called Discord) needs to be sealed away and that the ponies deserve to live in peace. She, with the help of her sister, create the Elements of Harmony and seals Discord away. The story would end with Celestia summoning Twilight to come and deal with Discord (season 2, ep1-2), and with Celestia inwardly lamenting about her broken heart.

Skyfall: The Elements: Not created, but I had a plan here. Basically, along with trying to defeat the monster, the Mane 6 must now deal with the fact that their siblings have grown up, and that a lot of things have changed. There would be confusing and tension between Sweetie Belle, Rarity, and Spike.

There you have it. I'll still pop on to see my word count every now and then, but otherwise...
Farewell.
Thanks to those who have been kind and supportive all the way through. All the best to you.

NOOOO, don't leave. I mean what about the CMC in the Post Reception world ? You once said that you might do a short tale focus on he CMC Post Reception and how Applebloom and Sweetie Belle dealt with Scootaloo's death and induct Babs Seed into the group. Don't you remember ? :fluttercry:

Between that and the sequel to Skyfall are the only stories I loved reading about. Besides I haven't caught up on your SaliormMoon fan-fic yet.

So could you please try to do something like that before you throw in the towel ? :fluttershysad:

As I don't want to see a good writer end it like this.

Hope you have good luck in the real world, and I hope this isn't goodbye forever, but if it is, I will miss you, and..and :pinkiesad2: *hugs* I DUN WANNA HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE :raritycry:

:derpytongue2: good luck, and remember to enjoy the silly things in life

I won't force you to stay, but know that you will be missed by us non-(squee)bags. Good luck out there.:twilightsmile:
