Moon launch! · 2:07am Sep 6th, 2013
Hey everyone-
Sorry I haven't been writing very much lately, life has swept me up in full force. Oh, and a launch to the MOTHERBUCKING MOON that's taking place virtually outside my front yard! Friday the 6th of September, NASA is launching the Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer from Wallops Island. I'm in Maryland, right next to the recommended viewing area!
We'll hope anypony banished there will see a new star in sky next week!
LADEE is going to be orbiting the moon and answering our ever mounting questions about its extremely thin atmosphere, measuring the elements and exact density of it. It'll be going into a high orbit, so it won't be grazing Luna's mane.
It's also going to be launched on top of a refurbished Ballistic Missile from the Air Force! (without warhead)
Alright, I'm off to go see a rocket launch tomorrow, I'll be updating my stories when I get around to it.
Live long, prosper, launch rockets, watch ponies, etc....
Cheerio~
