So here's the thing; this will mostly be about getting feedback for my general existence on this site. So I've been debating with myself about a few subjects, and well, why not ask the people?
The first thing I've been wondering is: Should I try to make a habit of posting regular (Probably monthly(which is why I'm doing this one on the first of sept.(to get a clean starting point(holy s**t so many parentheses)))) blog posts about my general status of continued existence?
Pros: News from me, excuses, an unedited record of the rambling and insane thoughts of my silly brain, tidbits about myself (I had, for a few years, a small green dot imprinted on my arm because I once accidentally stabbed myself with a col-erase pencil, effectively tattooing the color in my skin.)
Cons: I may run out of interesting stuff to say really fast (my life is actually pretty boring).
Second, I've seen a few authors have, on their user page, a "progress report" of sorts, where they show how far along their next chapter(s) is done. I'm contemplating that idea, which I would probably do in the aforementioned monthly blogs.
Pros: You'd see my snail's progress towards delivering new content, instead of being left in the dark.
Cons: You'd see my snail's progress. Oh my god I am so slow. I'd die of shame.
Hm, yeah, that's about it for the most pressing concerns. Anyone want to offer suggestions of stuff I could do that I haven't though of? Any questions? Plans for world domination to give me? Muffins?
I think it's a very good idea. I run a personal blog that used to be updated every day and I can tell you that a month is easily a very good amount of time. I live a very very boring life where not much happens but I usually do at least one thing within a span of a month that might be worth telling to someone. As long as you don't forget the things you've done you shouldn't have any difficulty posting a monthly update and it would be a nice way for us to keep track of what you're up to. If there's no updates in your stories for a while, then we'll know, and we might even be able to help keep you going.
Anyway, I think it's something you should heavily consider doing at the very least.
