I want to do the shipfics that I have been hinting at forever. (I'll get more ideas for my Pinkie and Cheerilee fic once school starts because that is based around school interactions.) A LunaJack fic and a CadanceJack fic.
Why these two Princesses? Felt like it. And since Big Mac gets all the ship love (I've seen him with all the Princesses except for Cadance.) I thought that it must run in the Apple Family with their powers of sexual attraction and since Applejack has met all the Princesses since she is the Element of Honesty it isnt that impossible for a ship with them.
Idea for LunaJack fic: Nightmare Night hasn't been that good for the Princess since all the ponies run away because she is still remembered as Nightmare Moon. But with Applejack's help, she will learn how to reconnect with her subjects after a thousand years. And that will go on from there. Pretty much season 2 with more Luna in it. And Luna won't be all thy and thine she will be using modernish language maybe some different terms that are like 1920's versions of stuff. I can only do so much Shakespearean language.
Idea for CadanceJack fic. (Idea partially inspired by a comment by Jake R) Shining Armor comes down with a case of the being dead and Cadance and Princess Skyla (yeah I never thought I would type that name) are left without both a husband and father. After the funeral, Applejack stays to comfort the Royal Family and gets much more than she bargained for. Takes place years after the series. And has in my head Applejack trying to adjust to royal duties. More comedic than the LunaJack one even though it starts with a funeral. (You guys seen that British film Four Weddings and a Funeral? That was a great movie and based around a similar concept of a funeral.)
