I am so bored so watching anime and somewhat update post. Oh and thanks for favoriting School Daze. (Obligatory welcome post where I show how weird I am.) · 3:39am Aug 10th, 2013
As it says on the tin. And yes I have had some bad stories (or as I put them in my optimistic personality that only exists on the internet) some stories that do not reflect the normal outlook on our fandom. Badly writing gorefics (Death of Loyalty- though I did write that one almost a year ago.), ripping off Stephen King (Bachmaneverse- and really the hate kinda feeds me cause I think that its funny when I almost write the same exact words as he does and people hate that. Idk. But thanks for liking it.) and crossovers that I really should have written four more chapters to if not more (I've written more in three weeks than I ever have, that's what happens when you are in a cast. I look terrible, I feel terrible, and I almost had to go to the emergency room when they tried a compression boot cause it acted like a tourniquet. But yeah I can write a lot when my life's circumstances are boring/ terrible. Good thing my life isn't a complete mess. If it was I would be so much worse off. Its not like school is gonna start in three weeks and shit. Oh no! It is. if my current writing glut should be believed. (Fragile Crystals- for those that somehow haven't forgotten my story- I asked my mom about my computer and she thinks it will be done today or tomorrow. Now if she could stop being so flighty. I wish I had my backlit computer so I could stay up all night and type- and watch and ponify X'amd: Lost Memories.)
For Twilight Sparkle; Appleloosan Sheriff- I plan on writing Dash's family life soon. Which might borrow some of my experiences. More crazy stuff will happen. Maybe a race.
For A Learning Experience fans, I plan on writing chapter 3- even though a comment kinda crushed me. I write how I write. The story comes out the way I want- not because I want it to- but it is a journey. I have only written one one shot. I don't write romantic one shots cause I use that medium to let off some steam- such as a maybe short idea that is- ahem- the M&Ms Go to Equestria. Like the actual M&Ms. Yes I was semi-delirious when I came up with it. And yes, if you ask I don't like M&Ms. I can't help my ideas. Blame my ability to lucid dream/ hallucinate my plots.
Progress on Hearths Warming fic since last update: zilch. But I plan on writing it sometime. Not on my priority list but its bouncing though my brain.
I have 2/3 of the chapter three of Animation Corps: Entropy done. I would have finished it but my computer broke so I lost the drive to write it. I'll just need to reread what I have so far and start typing from there.
Now for the fun part. Since I am bored I will show you the anime that completely made me want to start that project, and in each successive post I will show another episode and provide commentary.
Episode 1 of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. (And yes this is subbed, the American stereotype of us being lazy people who don't want to read is unfair- though if my highschool could be believed. I hate the American highschool system.- just read it. This is one of my favorite anime (outside of Evangelion and any Studio Gainax works) and is the original seed that created AC:E. People might randomly hate my stories but I view myself as a writer that writes for my fans on my works. So I see the dislikes with no remarks about why? (I wish there was a mandatory comment system as to why people dislike. But I think it would boil down to the split between the authors interpretation of the world THAT THEY PUT WORK INTO and the readers headcanon.)
Now with that out of our way.
I like this show because it hooked me with the cute first half of episode 1, and then it destroyed my resistance because of the creepy parts. Still some of the trippiest stuff I've seen in anime. And there are lesbian undertones throughout the show. And its the Magical Girl trope of 14 year olds fighting evil. Why 14? Because Japan is its messed up self and the age of consent is 13 by the name of the law. So yeah fun sexytimes. (I just learned about this and I see the young protagonists in anime in a new light.) And one of the characters (Kyubey: the creepiest fox thing I've seen. I watched the english version first and that was terrifying because it had a childlike voice) seiyuus (Voice Actors) is the japanese voice of Fluttershy. I would have posted an english full version but that doesn't exist on youtube. The best part about the episodes are when the art style goes to hell in a handbasket because they are in the Witch's Labyrinths. (Yes they are fighting witches; I love cool portrayals of witches and this is one of the coolest.) Example: 19 minutes 25 seconds-end. And I love that this is a deconstruction of the genre. This episode is the most normal in the series. (Episode 3 is where it gets real. But we aren't there yet.)
