Hey everypony, I am soo excited to be writing to you all right now. I even found this one guy earlier that gave me a huge headstart on everything. He goes by Fictional Critic, and his favorites list is just full of great stories. Admittedly I've been lurking in his favorite bin for a few months before actually doing anything : / sorry.

Mayhaps you should write about a Changeling who winds up befriending the Mane Six, because he can't turn into a pony, and his pony-wife is scared that he might be taken away and tortured!
Or maybe something more along the lines of the Mane 6 going off on a grand adventure, searching the seas for the treasure that would make their dreams come true!
Or maybe just write an HiE that doesn't suck, eh?

1269059 Start by brainstorming, or just letting fly a random idea. Storyboard it, make an infrastructure, the basic outline of a story*. After that, you just need to add dialogue, action scenes (where within action scenes can be anything from fighting against a horde of zombie ninjas to a father playing with his children as the mom makes dinner.), and some drama, because a story is no good without drama and suspense!
*At the start, we have X and Y talking as they're hiding from B. B finds them, chases them, Y is captured, X has to save Y. Near the middle of the fic, X and B have fought a few times, each time B managing to escape. X finally kills/defeats B, but Y is still nowhere to be found. X continues his search. And at the end, X finally finds Y, but Y is scared of X, because X has done many terrible things, and has changed into something different than the sweet, caring person he was at the beginning, and instead of wanting to save Y because of love, it's more of an obsession. "I'll keep you safe, my dear! By locking you up in my new mansion, just like the guys I've been fighting had done, but this time it's out of love! Bwahahahaha!" Then, sequel hook~!
