Twilight Sparkle had a very good track record with the Ponyville Library. She had been keeping it in operation for almost a year, and she had made every opening time. Granted, a few had been preceded by rapid bouts of running about and panicking as she woke up late, and the occasional natural disaster didn't count, but she played an important role in Ponyville, and she did it consistently. Really, every time. The rapid scampering to the door to unlock it was just proof of her enthusiasm to have the library open on time, is all. Like usual, there was no-one there to witness her enthusiasm, but she knew she had raced down the stairs in time, which was the important part.
The rest of the above story won't be published, since it's been stalled out for near to a year now - but that one paragraph so perfectly set the scene that I felt bad about deleting it.
