    Equestria Girls

So far I've been pretty neutral concerning this MLP spin off. It might suck, it might be hillarious, but I'd always planned to give it a fair chance. After all, two years ago I'd never have imagined I could ever love a show belonging to the My Little Pony franchise. And look what happend!

    So, Double Rainboom

So the long awaited fan-made episode was released yesterday. The animation was pretty good, but that was too be expected after all that time and work that went into it, but it was nowhere near the 100% show accurate quality they claimed before. Voice acting was good or at least nothing that registered as bad with me. The music was pretty good, I especially like the opening. The pacing was off in

    Gut-wrenching

I'm currently reading "The Big One" a.k.a. "Fallout: Equestria - Project Horizons". It has it's up and downs (even more so than the original FOE), and I find myself speeding through most of the repeated fight scenes. But I like it a lot. I like the characters, their interactions, the setting and I think there are some interesting plot twist up ahead.

GalaCon 2013 · 7:47pm Aug 5th, 2013

It was. So. AWESOME. I had a lot of fun and met lot's of great people.

Once again I worked there as an volunteer. I was mostly tasked with getting the community guest from the hotel to the venue and back, attend to their needs and keep them occupied/entertained, but I also lent a hand to other tasks when it was needed. Working with the community guests had the incredible side effect of getting to hang out with them a lot. John Joseco, Psyguy and Gabby are truely amazing people and I'm really happy I was able to befriend them. Acoustic Brony and JanAnimations are also pretty great, but I didn't get to spend as much time with them. And I also got to sit next to Anneli Heed (Swedish Spitfire) at dinner on the first day before the con started she's super fun and just an overall nice person.

Despite all the work I still got enough personal con time in. I bought some stuff in the vendors hall (but held out on buying a handmade plushie - money is a bit tight this summer), saw the premiere of Button's adventure, watched some episodes on Pony Time (never watched MLP in big crowd before, it's something else!) and - most important - got to dance at both the gala and the disco event. AcousticBrony also played nice which simply blew me away (The played both Loyality and I'll Fly Higher, I was soooo happy!). I also saw the german version of Equestria Girls (because I was working the Pony Time room, when it was shown) - the dub turned out quite decent . And of course there was a lot of hugging, brohoofing and chatting going on the entire time.

Overall, it was simply a great weekend. I was really exhausted those past two weeks or so, and before I left on Thursday I mostly thought GalaCon would just add to that fatigue. But today I was just bustlign with energy and no sign of post-con depression at all (until I opened my mail, that is :raritydespair:).

Now have some pictures:

Take care!

EDIT: Almost forgot, one of my tweets made it onto US television (It's coming coming up towards the end of the report linked on that page :twilightblush:)

I saw a bit of the stream but due to different timezones I missed most of it.
This con looked so awesome and I so wish to go next year.
Congrats on having a great time and doing a great job there! :pinkiehappy:
