A little change of pace & the problem with categories · 5:08am Aug 2nd, 2013
I'm working on the fourth story of what I'm now calling my "Tales From Behind the Scenes" series, and this one's turning out a lot less humorous and, IMHO, a lot more sadder than the other three. To make matters worse, I've also planned out a prequel story to the series that's looking a lot sadder too! I don't know where this sad streak came from, but it's getting me writing a bunch right now.
Although now I have a big problem as to how I'm supposed to categorize the new stories. The other stories in the series were more comedy based with sadder moments thrown in. These stories are going to be the opposite. I think it's safe to say the prequel is definitely going to get a "Sad" tag, but this next story will have some funny moments here and there, but I'm not comfortable labeling it a "Comedy" story or a "Sad" story. I'm just going with "Slice of Life" for now because it'll deal with a significant event for the life of one of the show's characters. I wish there were more categories that could help me figure this out better. Oh well, you just gotta roll with what you've got.
At any rate, I'm happy my stories are being well received. Thanks for reading and I hope to see you soon!
This is why it was stupid of the site to prevent stories from being marked Sad and Comedy.
Sad implies no comedy, and Comedy implies no sad.
