Okay, update. · 3:02pm Nov 28th, 2011
So here I am again, with a couple more stories under my belt. I'm pleased with how those two have turned out so far, and the reviews seem to be very positive. I can't thank you enough for that; because of it, I have the confidence to write more, and I can start thinking of bigger, more epic projects.
A Night to Remember has essentially stopped dead. It's difficult finding the right words and pacing; it feels like I'm just wasting everyone's time with the next chapter, but if I leave it out too much will be skipped at once. It's a real dilemma, so for now I'm concentrating on Time Never Dreamed (and brainstorming ideas for a continuation of Her Ever-Faithful Student), hoping to go back to my first fic with a fresh mind.
Next up, the coming month or so. This is the busiest month of the busiest quarter at work:all the companies that want our mass spectrometers get their budgets in the new year, and they usually get their big purchases out of the way early. Since our latest basic-spec mass-spectrometer sells for about £400,000 (and usually does everything the customer is looking for), that's one of the first things they buy, and we need to have them ready for the new year. This can mean lots of overtime, and that in turn means less time writing stories. I will continue writing, but it won't be updated as often (psh, like it gets updated at all as it is now). However, come January, all the orders seem to come to a halt, and apparently we'll be left with very little to do; I should be able to start making up for it once New Year's is out of the way.
Anyway, it's only a small bit of news, but I thought I might as well stick it up. Next up, more adorable tiny unicorn and flustered Princesses!
