And Finally Fallout Equestria is up on this here site. · 6:43pm Jul 23rd, 2013
And all I can say is huzzah!
For a few reasons of course. It was the second fanfic I had ever read. (First was Cupcakes. Guess I have those two to thank for how I write fanfics cause outside actual books published I had no influences of fanfic writing.)
The nostalgia involved is a lot.
Second reason is it actually is one of the few fanfics I have ever actually full on cried over. As in sweet jesus is this sad. The characterization is spot on. (Even for it being a crossover. And the whole war aspect.) By the end I was sobbing as if my dog had got run over by a bus. Now I'm probably seen too many dark fics to react as violently but the memory is still there.
Thirdly, it took me two full days to read. (Diaries of a Madman took me four full days but that has over a million words and is still nowhere done with the story.) Before this I had never read such a long book or fanfic (Really I threw myself under the bus.)
The only critique that I have is that it has created this glut of fics trying to reclaim that spark of magic and it just is hard to take serious most of them. (Outside of Project Horizons which I stopped reading because I want to know what happens and read it complete.)
So with the good, the bad, and the ugly FO:E is up on this site. Oh and I really want to update my fics (and I have 500 work in Animation Corps done and 300 in TS;AS. I haven't touched Fragile Crystals in a while but that is a more faithful adaptation to the source material so that is actually much more difficult to write. I'm just one of those sucky writers where they never update and I hate it as much as you. (Really I love reading chapters with 10k words I just don't write that way. I wish I did.) But I'm in a cast and will be in something of the sort for the next couple months so that doesn't help. Plus my mom doesn't know I'm an insomniac (damn you college) so I have to go to bed at 11. (At college, somedays I didn't go to bed until 3. And those were on good days. And that was also when I wrote as well. (My story ideas have to come from somewhere and usually it happens when I can't sleep. So I really haven't updated in a while. Plus I wrote during workstudy. Really. I never had any problems to deal with and so I just wrote and said I had homework. (Which I usually did. But usually I just waited until after workstudy.)
