I finished a new book today.

I've mentioned the Ex series before (Ex-Heroes, Ex-Patriots, and now Ex-Communication, with Ex-Purgatory being written as I type), and I recently got the third book. Here's my review:

It was a rather great read, tying up a plot thread from the first book. It brought a old hero back into the limelight, one I'm rather fond of, due to my fascination with magic. I also liked that it showed up how the Unbreakables from the second book are integrating into the Mount's society. The chapters that are set in the past are all very interesting, but most are from the same character. Another interesting bit, is that Mr. Clines retconned (linked in case you don't know what that means) a bit of dark humor from the first book, something I had found rather funny. Other than that nitpick, it was a rather good book. I give it a 8/10.
