I just turned off my laptop for the final time. I've had that computer since I was sick for a week and a half in November 2010. My life has changed so much since then. I was forced out of my comfort zone and changed for the better. I went away from home for more than a couple days. I even got a whole new group of friends that mean so much more to me than any groups in the past. While my old groups were jerks, these aren't. That computer brought me into the amazing world of fan fiction. It was on that broken, battered machine that I brought you all the words on all the stories posted on my account that you see before you. It has been with me throughout all that.
And so, as I move onto a newer, less broken laptop that features Windows 8 as an "upgrade," I would just like to say farewell to it. Adios. So long. Have a good life... You know what? I set a name on it many years ago when I first got it. It prompted me to give it one. Here goes.
Goodbye, Ben-Laptop. I'll always cherish the memories we created together.
