It's one thing to use a blank avatar if you're not putting stories up, but at this point, between my work on LightMask's The Hypnotic Adventures of Blank Sheet and what I've written of Smoke so far, I'm at about 60,000 words up on Fimfiction. Not having an avatar seems silly. Unfortunately, I am the fussy sort, and want it to be related to what I write, not just a crop of a pony, a shot from Pony Creator, or anything like that. Ordinarily, that would mean I pay someone to make me one. But, with Bronycon coming up, August PACKED with games I want, two pieces of Smoke art already commissioned, and Christmas to be saving for, I'm sort of tapped out.
So, in what is admittedly a super long shot that I won't be trying to sell anyone on, and won't be bringing up over and over (I appreciate the folks following me and don't want to be a nuisance), I'd like to offer a trade--one Fimfiction avatar (SFW, but mind control related; I know what I'd like) for a ~6000 word story to the artist's specifications (probably two parts). There are things I just won't write, but for a trade, I'd at least haggle on some of my squicks. It could even be a PC chapter in Smoke, if it fits properly into the story. (Wanting an avatar or not, I'm not going to make a mess of what I'm writing--at least not on purpose.)
I don't actually expect any takers, and I AM fairly fussy about quality, but a Fimfiction avatar is what, 256x256? Small. I don't feel too awful offering a couple of hours of work for what I believe would be at most a couple of hours of work.
Anyway, if anyone is interested, let me know via PM and we can talk. As I mentioned above, this'll be the first and last time I bring it up--I don't want to pester those nice enough to follow me.
It's times like these that I wish I could kick my procrastination in the balls for not practicing to draw pony.

Those almost never cost me much. I tend to get games at full price. When the sale comes around, if I spend any money at all, it's on gifts for others.

I've built such a big backlog that there's no reason for me to buy stuff at full price (unless it's a game I really want) so I just wait for those big sales to get everything on my wishlist (adding even more stuff to the backlog...)

Well, I suppose that I've been practicing my pixel art lately, so I suppose I could try something with that... but certainly nothing hand-drawn from this user.
