And isolationism is the reason why we CAN'T leave them alone because every time (WW2 and WW1 being perfect examples, oh and let's not forget the cold war) we leave the world alone, we get pulled back in through some sort of crisis. The crisis usually involves Americans getting killed by a hostile organization or country.

Pearl Harbor (got us into WW2), the sinking of the Lusitania (got us into WW1), 9/11 (isolationist ideology not looking too good so far), the bombing of the S.S. Cole of the coast of Yemen (Thank you Clinton for doing nothing about this), The bombing of US embassies in various Arab countries (happened under Clinton as he tried to remain a softy). So far we are unable to leave the world alone as they never leave us alone.

We even get indirectly involved when our allies are attacked.

Can you imagine Equestria being real, and being allies with America? Especially how outdated their technology is? You know what would happen if they were attacked? We would be like "OH HELL NAW! GET AWAY FROM OUR PONIES!"

I'll agree on the WWI and WWII arguments. Besides, the Imperial Age was messed-up altogether.

The Cold War was to prevent Mark's idiotic idea from spreading (like the plague it is).

And the Middle-East has been enraptured in all this conflict (examples: the Cold War's proxy wars, and the creation of Israel, and the Europe's take over of the fallen Ottoman Empire, and not to mention the US oil-lust) that it's probably best that we leave them the hell alone.

And as for when our "allies" get attacked;" isn't that how WWI started? A bunch of "allies" getting entangled in what is a somewhat small political fiasco?

Okay we agree on that first part, but the rest of information you stated from Wiki has always been declared as unreliable. Never pay attention to the articles on Wiki when it comes to politics or conflicts such as that. Our "oil lust" is an argument to justify demonizing America. If there is such a concern for our "oil-lust" why can't we drill for our own? We would obviously make enough to pay down our debt, and create millions of jobs. Not mention grow our economy (Blame the leftists on this one for bogus environmental laws.)

As for the comment you made about Israel being a conflicting force in the middle east is bucking insane. Israel has been there for thousands of years. The modern state of Israel was recognized by the UN, so to say Israel is part of starting a conflict in the middle east is completely false. Do not trust wiki because anyone can modify that information. (Even if you didn't imply some of this, it's better that you know that countries in the middle east have it in their charter, the total annihilation of Israel since the Jews settled there thousands of years ago.)

By your logic then: If Equestria were real, and they were our allies whom were having a "political fiasco" with another nation that practically wants them gone. We shouldn't get involved even though they are our allies? We should leave them alone even though they are eventually going to be screaming for help?

That's like saying to leave the bully on the playground alone and he won't bother anyone when he's already sent three kids to the hospital because of how violent he is.

So I am not taking your point, nor am I leaving it. I am going to debate it because I know that you are wrong, and the information you were fed was and is wrong.

Now, don't let anyone say you're stupid for voicing something that is your opinion. State your thoughts as such, but not as fact (it's better to not learn the hard way.) Just have an opinion, and use evidence to back up what you say. Do your research, get multiple opinions, and formulate your own. Don't let anyone say you are wrong for being an individual with a different view point. Just stick to your guns, and make sure you are able to back it up. Don't let people corner you either when it comes to tough topics. Some questions are irrelevant to the point you are trying to make. State what your thoughts are, then proceed to explain why you think that way, or how you came to that conclusion. If people still give you a hard time, then screw'em. You got yours, and I got mine.
