SWEET BOUNCING BABY BON-BONS!! · 3:55pm Mar 30th, 2012
This sums up my general reaction to the reception of Caramel's Light:
This morning I happened to check the stats, and It's got...over 800 followers....broke 300 comments (Which I love by the way leave me more comments!) and almost 60k views....
Sweet...mother....of Celestia. It's actually quite ironic, when I started writing fics and taking requests I always turned down ones that involved shipping, I thought I wouldn't be able to do them well...
In anycase, glad you guys enjoy it so much, it's an amazingly pleasant surprise. Hope I can continue to write things you enjoy!
This means you must update within a week
Mwaaahaaahaaaa!
It's sweet that you're surprised, but you shouldn't be. I think you've written a Caramel that a lot of readers can empathise with, and if not they can certainly sympathise with his circumstances. The romance itself is very believable and the pairing isn't being forced in with a crowbar like it is in a lot of romance stories.
So ,,, yeah. Good going and hey, no pressure right?
As 49997 said. Most pairings end up coming from completely random things, or total cliches. This one, while not different in the way it starts, is different in the way it progresses. They spend as much if not more time on their own dealing with their own problems as they do being completely adorkable. Keep this up. Seriously.
Caramel's Light is a great story can't see why you're so surprised at the reaction :P. Thank you for updating and I hope the next part is just as amazing as the most recent.
If that's considered no good at shipping, i would love to see what you consider good. Any to recommend?
It's definitely well deserved attention. You've done great things with the story!
You've expanded on their relationship by introducing the first awkward phases between the couple. Caramel has everyone rooting for him when he's in those cringing situations that he needs to deal with. Characters have plenty of personality to them and some of my favorite parts are how the Apples interact with each other.
Keep it up!
