Equestria Daily's Prereaders (Important) · 6:23am Mar 30th, 2012
This post is a bit different, because this is just me thinking and wondering aloud, and asking for you guys' opinion.
I used to go to Equestria Daily quite a bit, but I don't go there as much now. A while ago, I wanted to send some of my work (after extensive proofreading and thinking) to the site to be posted. But I have a slight issue. I don't trust the prereaders.
Call me crazy, but I just don't trust them to do their job. I suffer from paranoia, and from an Inferiority Complex, so I have this loud, nagging feeling, that I'll be rejected.
I know I shouldn't fear rejection. If they reject my story, I'm not going to die.
But still....
I just want to know if anyone wanted to share any interaction they might have had with a prereader from that site. Do they actually do their jobs? Are they reasonable? Are they good at their job? Do they point out the flaws, or are they just vague phrases pointing out common errors? I want to know about the prereaders, because I do want to try sending some of my work to them one day, but I can't do that unless I have some base of trust to them.
Hell, I'll settle for learning to like them. Either way.
I know I sound a little crazy. Or a lot. And I'm sorry for that. But it would mean a lot if you guys shared your opinion on the prereaders of EQD, or my own paranoia.
If you want my opinion, I don't really trust prereaders also. I hadone guy preread for me then he just up and left. I he stole my ideas I will be so pissed. If you go to school ask your language arts or english teacher to preread for you. Sure it sounds weird but they will do a bette job.
