    Wow. . .

It's amazing how time passes quickly when you're supposed to be doing something. Procrastination just makes the days fly right on by, doesn't it! For example, I thought I would take a little break after uploading the last chapter of Lyra Heartstrings, and whaddya know, it's been three weeks since I've written anything.

    Some Good News

Well, yesterday was my mother's birthday, but the family decided to celebrate it today. So we all got together, a thing that is increasingly difficult with everyone's varying schedules. I cooked dinner, everyone else shot the breeze in the living room, until it came time for the gifts for my mom. My eldest brother and his wife handed her a wrapped gift, and as she tore away the paper, she

    Owww.....

Well, as weird fate would have it, I finally started getting over my writer's block. But tonight, I burned the ever-loving God out of my fingers. Second degree burns, they hurt like hell. I typed this one handed, and I can't go anywhere without my left hand partially immersed in ice water. And the ice water is the only thing stopping the searing pain when my burn touches air. Sleep will be a

    RANDOM BLOG POST!

Well, most of you haven't heard from me in literally months, so I have made the decision to sort of give a sign that yes, I am still alive. Dark Nebula can somewhat vouch for that. I have been job hunting to the extreme lately, and though I am very skilled in several areas, the only two places that will even consider me are Home Depot and Quik Trip. And not even the Quik Trip gas station, I'm

    Well, that was anticlimactic

The computer problem is fixed. Google Chrome appeared to be the problem more than anything, and all I had to do was switch to another browser. So, Firefox it is.

On another note, happy birthday to me. I'm twenty-two, and as lonely as ever.

I was going to upload some pictures of kittens and puppies that I snapped at work, but my SD card is not complying.

Damn this Buggy Site · 11:06pm Jun 2nd, 2013

Anyone else getting 502'd to death lately? I swear, I have to reload every page three times before I can get anywhere on this site.

You're not alone with the 502s.

Yeah im getting them out the ears. :fluttercry:

Yeah, but all I have to do is refresh, so it isn't an issue.

Guess what I just did...

Don't worry, Knighty posted that he did... something to fix them.

Now you get at LEAST a .4 502-to-pageload ratio.

One wonders if this is related to the bells and whistles added the last time 'round, that improved nothing and clunkified the look and operation.

... I'm sorry, did I just whine? No, that's more snark than whining.

But that's not how it should work. That's sort of like saying, "my phone dies in the middle of a call, but all I have to do is turn it back on. Then, when it dies in the middle of another call, I turn it back on again." That's not to rip on you, for you're right: With repeated effort, you can eventually drag the information out of the server, but the basic function of the webserver is to serve up pages- if it's not, something's broken.

The sad thing is, the site WORKED before they changed everything.

1122849 The repercussians of getting 504 are FAR less severe than getting a dropped call.

Depends on the call! :pinkiehappy: But allow me my hyperbole, for I'm just using it to illustrate the point: Somethin's not working right. Excusing malfunctioning as "I can just try again" glosses over the fact that functionality and usability on this site have been negatively impacted by the last big humungo change.

1123094 Yes, I got your point, and I agree. I was just stating that the example that you used was far more dire than it actually was.

But... but... Reductio ad absurdum!

Er... Lorem Ipsum?

Anyway, I acknowledge your point as well. It was just one of the first things that occurred to me, and it was techy as well.
