Some Good News · 2:15am Nov 12th, 2013
Well, yesterday was my mother's birthday, but the family decided to celebrate it today. So we all got together, a thing that is increasingly difficult with everyone's varying schedules. I cooked dinner, everyone else shot the breeze in the living room, until it came time for the gifts for my mom. My eldest brother and his wife handed her a wrapped gift, and as she tore away the paper, she wondered what could be underneath. Hidden behind that cheery veneer of flashy paper lay a framed photograph, one of a pregnancy test, marked with a plus.
That's right, I'm going to be an uncle, and I couldn't be happier for them. Also, my other brother was promoted to manager of his store, though he has worked there less than a year. And one more little ray of sunshine, my cousin is leaving his current job for one in another state, and he might put in a good word for me as his replacement.
So maybe . . . maybe life isn't so terrible anymore.
Good to see some things going your way. Going anyone's way.
Maybe it just got a little better?
In any case good luck with the job!
Interesting choice in changing avatars. Not a bad pic at all to say the least. It is pretty classy with the grunge look. How are things anyhow?
1607563 You like Grunge-ilee? Thanks, I've really been getting into the grunge albums on my computer lately. I've actually got that shirt that she's wearing (or at least the one she supposed to be wearing) and the album.
Other than that, I didn't get the job, and the next two places I applied to flat out rejected me. My pregnant sister in-law has become super hormonal, and the promotion my brother was up for was actually in name only, meaning he works double shifts for reduced pay. So yeah, I'm back to being a sour pessimist. At least that way it's a pleasant surprise whenever things go right for once, instead of bitter disappointment.
In other news, I finally finished the prologue chapter of the long awaited sequel.

I do like Grunge-ilee.
Dang ( I am trying to curse less....). Sorry to hear about everything except the last line.
Not that it helps but a lot of people are having a similar problem. Even my parents. The reasons are aggravating and wide spread to say the absolute least. What is the saying? You want to have a fortune? Well you better be rich so you can afford to do so? Seems approximately right...
1607750 Heh, that's a new one to me, but it's just about the most accurate thing I've heard all day.
