Well, it looks like I won't be able to keep my goal of updating before I have to travel out of the country.
Last Saturday, I was in a pretty serious car accident. I'm not badly hurt, but my car is totaled. And now it looks like I'm going to have to go to court, since the state is holding me responsible. I maintain it was not my fault, as I was not the dumbass who stopped point-blank, out of nowhere, in the middle of a violent rainstorm, in the middle of a 65-mph speed zone. The people in front of me stopped suddenly, I tried to break, my steering locked, and my car hydroplaned right into them. I really thought I was going to die, especially since if I'd gone sideways I would have gone off the overpass into the traffic below- if that had happened, it would have been a miracle if I'd survived.
So, anyway, the next several weeks before I have to leave are basically going to be filled with me trying to get a new car and possibly me going to court. I'll do what I can to write, but it's looking unlikely that I'll be able to get much of anything done.
