First Weekly Word Quota (a chance for you all to hurt me emotionally)

As you may remember, I was planning on taking suggestions from you guys as to how many words I should write in a week. Seeing as I have an entire week of vacation coming up, I figure I should start now! My book (not Into the Fire) is primed and ready to be worked on, so don't be too easy on me! Also, suggest some sort of punishment for me in case I don't get my work done as an extra incentive.

    Night (A Poem)

    Night
    By Zach TheDane

Mournful her heart beats; cold her façade
As broad wings of shadow she spreads out abroad.
Dolefully squelching the hearts of the gay,
Her darkness draws nigh as she stifles the day.

Quiet her fanfare; with long trumpet calls
Of silence saluting the sun as it falls.
Veiled in the blackness, white starlight her gown,
In majesty dons she the moon as her crown.

    A Poem

I have been trying to think of a place to post a bit of poetry that I've written, and I was considering posting it here. The poem itself isn't entirely about ponies, although it was partially inspired by Princess Luna. Would this be something you would be interested in reading? If so, let me know! Also, if you know any other places I could post it to, that would be great.

The Second Most Useless Update Ever!

As you may have noticed, I haven't posted a new chapter in a while. If you haven't noticed, it's probably because you've given up on me! Fear not, however; I am not as lazy as my progress seems to show. The fact is, until Finals are over, I have almost NO free time. After that, though, I shall be able to start my weekly quotas, mostly because I don't have a job! So you will indeed get more

The Most Useless Weekly Update Ever!

Well, it's Sunday. I was going to post this on Friday like normal, but... I guess I was hoping to make some progress this weekend. So much for that! In reality, this afternoon is the first real chunk of free time I've had since last week, so I haven't gotten much done. I am, however, going to sit down and churn stuff out tonight.

The Most Useless Weekly Update Ever! · 8:53pm May 5th, 2013

I have a question for you, though, if you're actually out there reading this: once finals are over and I have time to write FOR REAL, I would like to take weekly suggestions as far as word count goes. If you have a certain number of words you think I should write in a given week, let me know; if I accept the challenge, I am obligated to meet the quota. If I do not, there should be some sort of "punishment" involved. What do you think? Let me know, and continue to be patient with my slothfulness!

First I think there should be some rules. For instance, I could make you write 15,000 words in one week, something I haven't even done in three months of strenuous writing. Basically, make you fail. Obviously, you have to set some perimeters for us to follow. :derpytongue2:

Second, I think the punishment should be determined by the faithful reader whom you cruelly and heartlessly disappointed in lazy disregard and flippant discourse. And it should always be embarrassing and somehow involve cold liquids. :raritydespair:

And your slothfulness is condemnable! Even if your writing can be vernal to my spirits. :yay:

1057651 And our word of the day, everypony! But yes, I couldn't agree more. Even I have limits; I usually write about 1,000 words in a session, but that's when I don't have much free time. Who knows what I could accomplish with a couple of hours! :pinkiecrazy:

Also, your ideas of punishment will probably scare me greatly, so I will be using my better judgment on any suggestions. I have to maintain some self-respect...:rainbowwild:

Dear 1059490,

This makes me sad. I had a session one time that lasted almost five hours, and barely got 3,000 words in. :raritydespair: You, sir, make me feel depressed, degraded, lazy, flippant, farcical, and just plain old exiguous. But then again, quite a few of those attributes are true in my case. :applecry:

As for self-respect, may I remind you of the age group that a certain show you watch on a frequent basis is geared for? Technically speaking, we have no self-respect anymore, so embarrassing yourself should come as a simple task. However, the punishment needs to be bad enough to keep you writing, otherwise it would be the equivalent of punishing a murder with a wooping to the buttocks. It needs to some point be bad enough that you don't want it. (That is why I'll never be stupid enough to try this :rainbowlaugh: loljk) And yes, my ideas of punishment will scare you. Hehe. Better not fail.... :pinkiecrazy:

All the best anyways,
-Power to the Bronys
