If you pursue this, which you should, you will get him. If the school doesn't take disciplinary action, you can actually sue the SCHOOL, so if you have your parents threaten the school with a lawsuit, actions will be taken to A. Stop such assholes from doing this again and B. Make this kid understand the consequences of being what would be considered a hard criminal by adults at a young age.

This is a tough situation. While that is partly true, the school can't legally fire her for rightfully suing them- though you wouldn't want to work for a place you just sued...
If she does work for the school, she might be able to use that to gain the support of other teachers/staff to have disciplinary action taken. Or, you could still take the route of suing the kid's parents. But I will definitely admit, this is a tight spot. Take whatever course of action you think you should.
On another note, if there are any self-defense classes available in your area, I would suggest you take them. For years, I have studied Karate, and that somehow became public knowledge. But it helped me in a way better than being able to fight my way out of situations; people who WOULD have picked a fight with me were too intimidated to. Once, I have had to fight someone, and it lasted only seconds (I won). If possible, try looking into self-defense or martial arts in general. It's a great deterrent for people who would pick a fight with you, and it'll help you if they actually do decide to pick a fight.
