New Stuff You Should Listen To

Been a while since I've done one of these, huh? I ran out of subgenres to give a primer on (no, I won't do post-metal, sludge metal, they are mostly boring), so let's go over new shit I found in my 1 year hiatus.

    National Day Of Slayer

You will be missed.

Dude was the brains behind Slayer. For starters, he wrote Angel Of Death, Raining Blood, War Ensemble, South Of Heaven. While some (Kerry King) will say Kerry King was the driving force behind Slayer, it was really Jeff. We lost a great one today.

Raise a Heineken in his name tonight.

Ronnie a few years ago, and now Jeff. And only 49.

I hate to say it, but we'll have to start getting used to this. A lot of the greats are getting on in years.

And yet Lemmy, Ozzy, and Keith Richards continue to baffle modern medical science by living.

Heard about this during band practice yesterday. I wasn't much of a Slayer fan, but I can think of at least one song I liked by them. Sad to hear he's gone.
