"My dear People..." · 11:25pm Apr 26th, 2013
"Today is my [twenty-fourth] birthday [...] I shall not keep you long. I have called you all together for a Purpose.
"Indeed, for Three Purposes! First of all, to tell you that I am immensely fond of you all, and that [31 weeks and 5 days] is too short a time to live among such excellent and admirable [Bronies]. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
"Secondly, to celebrate my birthday [...]
"Third and finally, I wish to make an ANNOUNCEMENT."
That announcement is: in true Hobbit tradition, I have a gift for all of you. Unfortunately, I don't have magical dwarf-made toys to distribute, so you'll have to settle for a new story. One Day in the Life of Princess Celestia is a side-story to Princess Luna Visits a Wet Dream and while it isn't a comedy by any means, I ask that you give it a shot anyway.
Yes, I know, a side-story isn't what the masses calling for 'moar' really wanted, but this story needed to be told. I do have a sequel in the works. At present, I intend to write it from Rarity's perspective about three days after the end of Princess Luna Visits a Wet Dream, and call it Everypony Knows About the Wet Dream. The awkwardness will be doubled. Possibly tripled.
I also have a second announcement to make. The more I write, the more I like writing, but at the same time, the more I find my writing is lacking. (You see how many commas I just used right there? Surely that could be phrased better.) So while I do intend to continue to write, a lot more of my time will be spent reading other things for the near future. I have a stack of books three feet high to read and those are just the ones I have nearby at the moment. I will also be editing and possibly rewriting my existing fics on the site, so we'll see how that turns out.
All those changes will take awhile so for the moment, check out the new story. "I am going. I am leaving NOW. GOOD-BYE!"
...
Hmm. I seem to have misplaced my invisibility ring. That makes an abrupt exit somewhat more problematic. So... any of you going to TrotCon?
That is some sweet news indeed and i shall be checking out that story shorty in the future.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! *summons the entire cast of FIM and parties till dawn*
