So... Where's the story? · 9:45pm Apr 23rd, 2013
I got back from Orlando with my high school's String Orchestra last night. And by Orlando, I specifically mean Disney World. Feel free to ask how it went.
Now, about that story I promised... well... I'm sorry, I really want to get my first chapter all spiffed up before posting. First impressions are always important, you know. I should see if my friend Flarp the Dunsparce can help me out with it. Until then, have a picture I made for my Orchestra:
Okay, I know, it's very rusty, but this was made in September. I'm still trying...
1029612 As soon as we arrived at Disney World, we went to Hollywood Studios. On Saturday, we had a concert playing these five songs in order:
Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid
Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas
Rainbow Connection from Muppets
A Whole New World from Aladdin
Pirates of the Carribean Medley
After the concert, we went to Epcot before our recording session. Sunday, we went to the Animal Kingdom, then Magic Kingdom before heading back to Ohio, where we were welcomed home.
Friday was the most fun for me. The other days could have been better. I wish we had more time at Epcot, 'cause I wanted to see the shops inspired by other countries. Someone got both a Black Kyurem and a White Kyurem plush from the Japan shops, which really upset me, but at least the recording session was fun. At the Magic Kingdom, it rained really hard for almost 6 hours. Long story short, not bad, could've been better. But hey, if I ever got another chance to go back instead of go to school, I'd take that in a heartbeat.
1030083 They were all played seperate. And yes, it'd would've been awesome to play some Kingdom Hearts music. I always tell my directors (who are a married couple) that we should play some songs from video games, but it never happens. We've played Green Day, we've played Lady Gaga, Mozart, Beethoven, you name it. But no video game music. Sure, there was the Halo theme, but that was another Orchestra.
Also, wouldn't it be just awesome if they made something in Disney World specifically based off Kingdom Hearts?
