Well the truth is... curiosity.
It all started when I start to see pictures of ponies everywhere (DA., Google, Youtube, etc)... even in my most... explicit websites (*cough* Rule34)...
To be honest at the beginning I thought ppl have become crazy, or gay ppl have definitely taken over the internet (I got nothing against gay ppl. I even used to have a gay friend. now lower that knife).
*Sigh* My curiosity grew ever since... just... watching pictures of ponies in my fav websites... everyday... until...
I could not take it anymore! Why are ppl obsessed with ponies any way! they are so girly!!! I honestly never like the mlp show (I was more of a care bear kid, even if I only watch the movie 'a new generation'. the most funny thing is that the only character I liked was Black Heart (kind of like Luna if you take a closer look on him) ).
So... I began to research about it... learning of the Bronies... and more importantly the only thing that give me a slight push to give it a chance... That Mlp:Fim was made by Lauren Faust. I honestly watch all her shows, even the Ppg.
More curiosity... but I was afraid... my manliness was on the line to be honest...
That was... till I got the balls to ask some friends of 'DA' about it (well who could have guess they were Bronies if not the pictures of their portraits). I most certainly ask them why? and if is worth taking my time to watch it?
They only told me... Watch the first few episodes. Only then you will understand...
*sigh* Fine I will give it a chance...
What I did is something I will never forget for the rest of my life... 
I watch the first 2 episodes... under my bedsheets (mid night) with my zune player... with low volume even if I used headphones...
When the intro music came out... I was about to turn it off and never speak of it again... But something in the back on my head told me to give it a try... well... the story of Nightmare Moon sounds nice (I always liked the villains now that I think of since I was a kid).
In the end... I was stunned... "it can't be." I said to my self... So I watch more episodes... and well... here I am...
Just a Bronie with his room filled with posters of metal, horror movie action figures, pokemon figures and more importantly... 
Shinning Armor castle with all my ponies...
I also have to admit that I turn into a Whovian thanks to the fandom of mlp. I even buy the 6 seasons dvds of the new series of Dr.Who.
But I don't know where can I get the first ones?...
Now... How did you turn into a Bronie?

That's just kind of how it happens - one episode at a time until resistant is a futile attempt. Why? Because, on a basic level, it is a great show with balance in the characteristics a fantastic cartoon show. I got into by means of sadistic and hilarious .gifs thrown around FunnyJunk and 4chan until curiosity got the better of me.

Well it was on summer evening where I was sequestered yet again in my basement safely tucked away from the real world with all of its reality and such and I just decided, 'why the hell not?'
