I Want You... to give me your opinion

OK im starting a new story and i want you're guys/gals opinion on whether i should do it or not.

basically its my little dashie in the halo universe. now before you comment that its unoriginal let me explain this is going to happen at the start of the spartan 2 program.*note john 117 aka The Master Chief does not exist in this world*

Why im doing this story is well when i read the original i kinda hated the ending. now before you flag me out of pure hatred let me explain. the ending was not bad it just urked me. even tho rainbow had all those emotions she could still return to a normal life like it never happened. yes i admit that's a stupid reason but come on she spent fifteen years with a guy whom she refers to as dad and being pulled away from that would cause emotional scars on her. I mean she grew up with the guy for crying out loud. OK personal rant over back to the point. Im saying what if she was put in a position that returning to her former life meant giving up everything that was tough to you. here is a real life example a solder coming back from a war he/she can't adjust instantly they need to go through therapy to come to terms with all of the horror they say. now picture that but after a lifetime of this plus add the fact she is going to do this in a world that has not experiansed war in a couple hundred years and you've got a hell of a story. also i just want to right a story of rainbow becoming the master chief
