The one thing I do not get at all is why people read a story, will dislike a story, but when asked to please comment on why they didn't like the story, they rightly don't give a shit.
It's discouraging to say the least. I mean, if people just dislike a story, how will someone ever improve on their work if they aren't informed on what people didn't like?
Take for example, a part of the story that people disliked, and I mean everyone disliked it. What if that was the only reason that people hated it, but no one said anything. That part alone would probably drag the rest of it down without the writer's knowledge. They would just keep on going, writing something that no one would ever read, because of one part that might be able to be taken out and vastly improve the story.
I just want to know what people like and don't like, so that i can actually make an interesting story that people like, even a little bit.
