Why has noone done a crossover with Project Runway yet? We've seen through Rarity-centric episodes that Equestria has a drive for Haute Couture, so in a universe in which Equestria and Earth have amicable relations and no-one is allergic to Magic, this is something that would definitely occur, simply because Project Runway would make it happen.
If you wanted to do it as a full story, then Rarity would be a contestant. As a Short Story, you could have the challenge of the week be making designs for the grand galloping gala, or have each Equestrian race send a model and have a guest-judge from Equestria. You could even use that second idea as a chapter in the former (or a few chapters). Maybe the weekly prize is that one of the Princesses would wear their design?
Possible Equestrian Judges: Rarity, Fancy Pants, Fleur de Lis, Foto Finish, Hoity Toity.
