My side project was intended for Derpy Day, but is currently lingering in limbo. Maybe it'll be ready by Derpy Day 2014.
Speaking of everypony's favorite mailmare, there's a whole ton of brony headcanon about her that one fic writer recently pointed out has a rather flimsy base. Don't get me wrong, you have to start somewhere, and most of my favorite stories have a little bit of Ditzy Doo "Derpy" Hooves (or whatever you want to call her) in them, but she's usually based off of other established stories. Of course, Derpy originated from the easter egg in the first episode, the muffin obsession came from her mouthing the word in Applebuck Season, the name Ditzy Doo came from Winter Wrap Up, "Derpy" was canon in the Last Roundup...
So what about Dinky? Seen with Written Scroll and Carrot Top in The Last Roundup, and never with Ditzy herself in the show's canon that I can recall. Amethyst Star/Sparkler is Dinky's "sister" in Sisterhood Social, and there are various explainations why. But then we see continuity with Carrot Top nuzzling Written Scroll in Just for Sidekicks, and it makes us (or me, anyway) go "Hmmmm. There could be a story there." Add in Noi, and things could get complicated.
I think I left off at 13 fillies & colts in my art project, and what a motley crew it is, too.
*Edit* as of 3/24/12 I added Ms. Peachbottom and one other to the crew (not Ms. Harshwhinny, also she's being considered.) I also started one that reflects a quintet that I'm a member of that plays for Oktoberfests... Noteworthy, Apple Strudel, and three other lucky ponies WILL be wearing lederhosen.
