"Winter Shade, you've lived on Earth for a few years now. Can you tell me what you think of humanity?" the reporter asked.
"What I think of humanity? I'm sure you've heard my feelings on the subject already. I'm no fan of humanity, and I never have been. The only reason I fight your criminals is because they're the worst of the lot of you. I've met a handful of decent humans, but frankly I'm looking forward to the day I can leave this world and never look back," said Winter Shade.
"What about your teammates? William and Leisl?" asked the reporter.
Winter Shade sighed.
"William alternates between being a damn fool, and being scary as hell. Still he's on the right side at least. He stopped me from committing cold blooded murder. I'm still not sure how I feel about that. Leisl... Leisl wasn't entirely human, you know. She was a good friend once one got past that aura of hers," Winter Shade shook her head with a pained look, "What happened to her wasn't right. She was a hero, more than any of us."
"You're referring to the Zathriel incident?"
"Yes, and that's all I'll say on that. In fact, I think I've said enough," replied Winter Shade as she stood up and walked back into the building the group had chosen as it's headquarters.
