Silver Lining and I, we are the storm. I the flashing lightning that tears apart the earth and sky, she the slashing wind and stinging rain. Before this it was just weather work for us, but now... Now we are the elemental fury of nature. I know she'd rather bring gentle rains, but this world demands harsher weather. At least Gunnr's spirit keeps Silver from losing her mind dealing with the violence of this strange world. I wish I'd never had to expose her to that. It doesn't faze me so much, the lightning is always violent, it strikes without warning and without mercy. But for all that, it is forthright, it announces what it has done with the thunder, and all see the power of the storm.
There's no questioning that I was born to wield the lightning, and if there was then the shining bolt that is my cutie mark would be all the answer I need.
I still can't figure out these humans. William says they're all crazy, that on the Earth he's from people wouldn't be so blase' about sharing a world with super-powered aliens and all the other weirdness here. One look at him would probably cause a panic in any town in Equestria.
William says we all have what he calls PTSD. All I know is there's been something wrong since Leisl died. We're different. Winter Shade is colder than ever, I'm worried about her. Heart Stone has been spending more and more time in her armor. Will and Shatterstone have both been drinking more than usual, and I think Gunnr is the only thing holding Silver's mind together. I know Will is right about the risks I've been taking, but I'm not sure I can stop. Dear Celestia, I hope we can go home soon...
