I'm fairly pleased with how the story is coming along so far. I go to bed and wake up with over 200 story views and a rating of 4.8 out of 5? Not bad for an upstart such as myself.
Luna is a surprisingly difficult character to write for. The lack of appearances in episodes gives her a ton of room for growth - conversely, that same lack of appearances, gives me very little to go by when attempting to characterize her. Still, I feel I've succeeded thus far. She's always struck me as being much more informal than her older sister, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was how she went about getting to know new folks. Likewise, Rarity is also proving difficult to write for. I don't really hate her, but she is my least favorite of the Mane 6 - as a result, I have to try especially hard to stay true to the character without showing too much bias. In addition, she's a relatively complex character in comparison to say, Applejack (no offense to any AJ fans. I like her character too, but it is rather simple).
The next chapter will go up when it's finished. In the mean-time, have the most amazing PMV ever made.
