    A bit about me

Hello stray wanderers! If you're here, that probably means you want to know a bit more about me and what I write and read. Well, I'll tell you. Hello stray wanderers! If you're here, that probably means you want to know a bit more about me and what I write and read. Well, I'll tell you. I'm a college student studying math, which I'd be happy to blab about for hours on end. Since math is quite far removed from MLP fanfiction, I was rather surprised to find myself trying to craft a story about our favorite horses. In particular, I never thought I would ever have to write fiction again (it sort of makes me wish I had paid attention in my high school creative writing class....)

But here I am. I think of MLP as fertile soil for interesting stories for two reasons. First, Celestia. Second, Luna. I don't see how you could write an uninteresting story about two possibly omnipotent, possibly immortal goddesses that rule over a kingdom and raise the sun and the moon and one of them gave into darkness and had to be imprisoned for a millenium by the other but now she's back and... you get the picture. (Note that the previous sentence contained hyperbole. I have seen more than enough boring stories about the royal pony sisters to last me a lifetime.)

This segues rather nicely into me explaining the story I've been typing out at an excruciatingly slow rate, which I've been calling A Fallen Star (name subject to change). If you've been paying attention, it will come as no surprise to you that it focuses on Celestia and Luna (and maybe a third pony not unlike them, hint hint). But that's all I'm saying, mostly because I have an incredible way of short selling myself and my works when described verbally. I want to let my story speak for itself, when it is polished and published. As they say, actions speak louder than words.

Hmm.

Maybe I wanted a different saying.

Anyway, my story would be nothing without my excellent editor Laichonious. He is responsible for turning a rushed jumble of words into a slightly less rushed jumble of words that is pretty. I'm also going to plug my friends Retsamoreh and Pissfer. Although they haven't yet delved into the editing process, I'm sure they will eagerly volunteer when I ask them to.

Which brings me to the last thing I wanted to say. I'm a perfectionist, and I believe that a story (or at least the type of story that A Fallen Star is) should be tightly internally linked, by which I mean it should all be internally consistent yet repeatedly reference and build off of other parts of itself. And because of that, I don't feel like I can publish until the story is finished. I don't want to throw chapter one out for everyone to see, only to need to set something up for chapter five but be unable to do so because I published it. Because of that, I will only be posting when it's done. Here's hoping that day comes soon!

Wait... what? Me? Excellent? I think we need to go over definition, connotation and usage of this word. It apparently does not mean what you think it means. :applejackunsure:
