Week 2: Progress moving at a reasonable pace · 7:58am Feb 9th, 2013
Reasonable to the point where although I haven't typed any of it up yet, I've clocked about 2,500 words on the 'butthurt' fic I mentioned last week. Which isn't bad when the terrible week I've had is factored into it.
Only, while writing it, I've become a lot more involved in the idea and it's probably going to be a little longer than a one-shot now. I reckon 3-4 chapters worth.
My involvement with the fic has led me to drawing out the cover for it also, rather than using some stock image or sourcing someone's dA work. (It's on my own dA, just under a different name, as far as I'm aware, I can't change my dA name to match my FIMFiction name.)
The writing of it is still a little rough and is going to need rewording and reformatting all over, I'm sure. But at the moment, I just want to get the story down to flow from start to finish. I'll work on the filling and the padding afterward, hoping that it still makes sense in the end. I could probably do with a pre-reader or two. I believe I have one so far, but it can't hurt to have a few, can it?
In the meantime, here's the cover art. Titled 'Tearing Off the Wings of Butterflies.'
