Challenge
Greetings, friends!
I had an idea recently. You guys have been loyal readers of Ever Free, and so I want to read some of your stories! I've put together a fun little challenge for y'all!
Rules: This is a music challenge. You will select a song from the list below, and will write a story while listening ONLY TO THAT SONG. You can write about anything! A mystery, an adventure, a romance, anything. I have tried to select a playlist that contains at least one song to fit any particular mood.
After selecting your song, you can listen to it a full time through, and see what the song sounds like. If you like it, great. If not, pick another. :3 You will then have 24 hours to write a COHERENT SCENE or full story, depending on whichever one you can pull off. Mind you, I actually do listen to these songs when I write, so you'll find the moods in (parenthases) to be fairly accurate.
When you start a story, leave a comment so I know that you're following the time rule. When you finish, leave another comment with a link to your story. In the description of your story, leave a link to this page, plawks. The more people that know about the challenge, the better. :3

Vesuvius (Adventure/tradgedy ish. It was written about the Mt. Vesuvius volcanic eruption, in whichthe entire village below was decimated, if that helps put a picture in your mind)

The Great Locomotive Chase (Adventure with conflict. Written about a famous steam-locomotive chase during the Civil War. Think about two trains chasing each other.)

Living Mice (Kind of calm in the beginning, but gradually builds at the end. It starts really quiet, and remains so until the last 40 or so seconds. Headphones, high volume. I see the sunrise when I hear this song.)

Calm Before the Storm (Very calm chorale. Dark tones with a hopeful ish melody. I see RD just thinking about life whilst flying above the clouds.)

Your time for your 'Calm Before the Storm' piece is up. You may take the challenge as many times as you wish, but any works written to the same music must be completely unrelated, lest they be considered an expansion on your earlier challenge. Please submit your story, and leave a link to it. :3
