Shedding Some Light On Subject Delta And Other Questions... · 7:32pm Mar 5th, 2012
Hey everyone, TheMightyT here with some news!
I decided to give you guys some closure on some questions I saw in the comments --and things I just want to explain--. Please note that things could change, but almost everything I'll mention here will be 'official' --if you want to call it that--.
So, I just give a '*' followed by the question in 'Italics'. Here we go!
*Are there any specific Plasmids or Gene Tonics planned for Subject Delta?
Answer: Yes. Plasmids will be easy to bring into the story, as Subject Delta just needs to use them. But Gene Tonics... you'll need to speculate about them. He has some, but Subject Delta was... "picky" with what he injected himself with. There will be an explanation in the future! Also, his drill is his only weapon, just saying...
*Will he use his Research Camera or Hacking Tool?
Answer: No. The Research Camera would work, if he still was in Rapture. It will not work on anything that's native to Equestria. Subject Delta will need to rely on his instincts. And for the Hacking Tool, what is he going to hack in Equestria? So, no for that one too. I'm trying to stay as realistic as I can...
*Do ponies give ADAM?
Answer: Yes and No. It isn't really ADAM, but if he would choose to kill a pony he may find something useful... I can't say too much, as it will be explained in the next Chapter, but Equestria has "changed" Subject Delta...
*Can Subject Delta kill/beat a dragon?
Answer: Maybe... 
*Will there be more Eleanor and/or Rapture?
Answer: Yes! That's all I'm saying about that...
*Can Subject Delta talk/write/do sign language?
Answer: What do you think? He can't really talk, he had an operation on his vocal cords! But the procedure wasn't perfected when he became a Big Daddy... About the rest, maybe...
*Do Big Daddies get tired?
Answer: Wait for future chapters!
*Are the quotes original?
Answer: Some. But most I get from The BioShock Wiki, it's also my primary source of information. There's only so much you can extract from a game, so it's nice to have it nicely ordered and described!
*Why so many 'Dream Parts' in every Chapter? We want more Subject Delta!
Answer: I understand your concern, but the 'Dream Parts' are necessary. It tells my readers about Subject Delta's past --for those who didn't played or don't know BioShock-- and gives me the opportunity to go back to the past and set things straight. There's much left unexplained in the universe of Rapture and I'm planning to give some closure on some things. But here's a short list what a 'Dream Part' probably means:
1. Subject Delta's time in Rapture.
2. Different Points Of View during certain events.
3. Things that happened before or going on at the same time as the story...
And about the 'more Subject Delta': Wait for future chapters!
