Call me impressed! I usually make fun of myself and say my writing is garbage, but all that humor is being put aside for the duration of this blog.
My first story on FimFiction has 300 likes and 472 favorites, and has popped up on the featured/popular bar several times. This is honestly more than I could have ever asked for starting on here, in spite of the road bumps from learning how to improve my writing as well as road bumps from my personal life. I have to thank everyone who's put in the effort to read all 13k+ words of my first act and judge its worth. Though I'm guessing my harsher critics aren't sticking around to see if my chapters improve in quality, I'm happy and thankful for everyone who's thrown in their two cents - even if sometimes my feelings were hurt.
I don't think my ego will get too big from all this: the success from my story pales in comparison to a majority of the other featured Twidash stories on this site. I would hope against hope if I thought my story could ever become nearly as popular and well-known as Building Bridges or Twilight's List.
I really feel like I should do a side thingie to celebrate this arbitrarily-decided landmark. I'd love to be the guy who could whip up a thank-you one shot for all the likes, but to be honest I haven't come up with any solid ideas for a quickie. I was tempted to do a quick separate twidash based on upcoming spoilers, but it felt too bandwagon-y. (may still do it though lol) If I do write a one-shot in the midst of my other W2FA1 priorities, however, expect it to not be as edited as my recent chapters. My sister has gone into super-school mode again and I'm not one to interrupt.
If anyone has a request for something that I can do in under 5k words, for any non-dark genre, comment below.
Two acts to go. Two chapters to re-write, and the inkling to do a one-shot. Time for a video.
Hmmm... I prefer "Zero to Hero". WHO PUT THE GLAD IN GLADIATORRRRR?
