Jumper?

Once again, I'm only writing this because I need to get something off my chest, and because hopefully someone in future time may look back through my blog posts. Currently my only two followers are my friends IRL. So, yeah.

Basically, I've spent the past two months trying to write a crossover fic with the movie Jumper (fucking terrible). After a while, I came up with nothing but a prologue that I remained dissatisfied with, and part of a first chapter. However, advice from a close friend, who is an avid writer (and anti-Brony, no shout-outs here) really shifted my view. Basically, two things became apparent.

1. No one really knows about Jumper, a bad movie based on a bad book made specifically for the purpose of publicly testing tecniques with special effects, making it irrelevant as a crossover.

2. It's uncreative. Don't get me wrong, most of my favorite fics are crossovers. However, crossing an already set storyline with another can leave a very rigid base for writing. I was running short of ideas, and thus barely wrote anything. So I completely reworked it. And, with my over active imagination (half my classes are lost to daydreaming, and it's all related to this site), I pretty much have the whole story paned out in my head. Writing it out will still take a while, but it's better than nowhere.

Also, I'd like to give a shout out to shirotora's story; Into The Black: A Mare's Tale, which inspired the working out of many of the kinks of my story, and is one of the few stories I've seen written with inspiration from many other works while still being it's own story.
