The end of the show for me, and a new genre · 6:50am Jan 30th, 2013
I watched as Spike absolutely failed to make a gem cake in front of Owlicious, laughing halfheartedly at what I knew was typical humor for the show but somehow wasn't funny anymore. The theme song started, yet then abruptly stopped as I paused the video on Youtube. I honestly wasn't sure why, but I wasn't really enjoying this episode at all. I decided to go onto FimFics and take a look at the stories, yet noticed I had a new notification. The notification made me want to puke. Twilight was going to be an alicorn? A fucking alicorn? I was and still am so fucking dumbfounded that I'm not even bothering to turn this into pony speak and say bucking, as it wouldn't pack a strong enough punch. Instantly, I went back to Youtube. I found Mysteriousbrony2012's channel in my subscription box, and hit unsubscribe. I couldn't bear to watch it anymore.
Upon going back to Fimfics, I marveled at the sheer creativity everypony here possesses. There are ships, for those who think romance would blossom between such close friends. There are bloodfests, for COD bronies. Princess Luna is Rad, Yo sort of fits into itsPretty much anything anypony could want in a story can be found here if you look hard enough. Truly, the show may have once held the heart and spirit of the MLP universe, but now that honor has been taken from Hasbro, and moved to the fans. Everypony here should be proud.
On a happier note, there is another genre I would rather like to begin trying. Mostly here on Fimfics I just read and write ships, but a friend of mine suggested I read Mortal Kombat: Equestria. Being a gamer, I decided to check it out, and it quickly shot up to be my favorite fic on this site that I've read yet, combining expert humor with a ridiculous amount of knowledge about the game and the show. Now I'm really itching to try out a video game crossover myself, and already have an idea set in place (Celestia gives the mane six a "test" where she forces them into various video game worlds, neglecting to tell them about respawns and the like, and orders them to sort of screw around for a while, which in this case usually means the main quest). This idea isn't something that really ever ends, so it would be an ongoing thing, split up with more traditional shipping fics. I'm really wondering what you guys think of the idea, and also your opinion on the two paragraphs that came before this.
No longer a show-watcher, but always a brony,

I am definitely adding this quote to my CV.
