Opinions needed from fans of "Missing Her"!! · 10:30pm Jan 22nd, 2013
So I know that I just started on a new story The Pinkamena Diaries. And I'm going to continue to write it so don't worry, I'm not cancelling it or anything! (I mean...I just started! xD)
But a thought came across my mind today....as usual....it was about my fanfiction writing.
So I know that a lot of you have read my story Missing Her, and most of you seemed to enjoy it a lot! I also saw a comment that mentioned the whole ordeal with Octavia, and Vinyl at the end of the story. They said that they wished that I could have gave more closure on their part, and I understand why they would want the closure. The only reason I didn't give closure to their relationship was mainly because I wanted to leave a breeze of unknowing in the midst of the ending.
But as I was thinking....I thought of a great idea!
If I see that anypony would be interested....I was very much considering a sequel to Missing Her.
For those who haven't read my story I am not going to spoil anything, but those who have read it know that the sequel would not be on Lyra...considering the ending of the story. But the sequel would be about Vinyl, and Octavia.
What happened after Octavia ran out of SugarCube Corner? What happened when Lyra told Vinyl "Goodbye"?
Exactly those questions would be answered in the sequel if I were to write one.
I was thinking about making it a long one-shot just like Missing Her. Though that may change due to how much I can write up about it.
Though I think it will be centered around Vinyl, and the rest of her friends. How do they grieve over the loss of their friend? I may even throw Bon Bon, and Berry Punch in there!
So what do you guys think? Opinions are most definitely needed!
(By the way: I was considering calling the sequel Encore.)
I thought that would be a suited name! Considering Vinyl, and Octavia, and Lyra are all musicians. And well....it's an encore of the first story! :D

I think having it focused around one pony would work well, but having it move off to see the reactions of singular ponies would work as well. Now let me explain.
Say that Vinyl interacts with one pony and they give a reaction. Then once they part ways we follow the other pony for a time to see just what goes through their minds and hearts, seeing what they do and say, how they interact with the world and places that Lyra is linked with. Now it would still focus on Vinyl but we would be able to see how all her friends react to her .......actions at the end of 'Missing Her'
That sounds like a great idea
it would be interesting to see how they recover from that as well as the loss of Lyra. And OctaVinyl is always great too
