This is my first review and blog post so post your thoughts in the comments thanks. This is my opinion and please respect it.
This episode was the return of fan favorite villain Discord. And just like Trixie he got redeemed. Which made me a little disappointed, but hear me out. On one hand he may appear more but since he's turned good the crazy evil chaotic villain is gone. I may change my opinion if he appears again. another issue is pacing. Just as his first appearance had trouble with pacing this episode felt really short for me. I would have liked if the episode was 32 minutes instead of 22 because the extra ten minutes would give each scene a little more time to develop Discord. Another issue is how the other 5 don't give him a chance. Rainbow, Rarity, and Aj, and Spike I understand but not Pinkie and Twilight. I mean Twilight wants to make her teacher happy and Pinkie liked Discord's chocolaty rain. I didn't like that they acted out of character. Now for the posatives. The episode had some great lines from Discord saying, "Friendship is Magic" to Fluttershy's rage at the end. This shows Fluttershy in the best way by showing her element Kindness. It really made the element belong to her. The animation was also perfect! From the elements of harmony scene to the dinner party. The writing was ok and I thought that M.A. Larson should of wrote the episode instead of Dave Polsky even though this is his best episode by far. These are only my First Impressions and I would watch it again. I give the episode 7.5 out of 10.
