Silliness, updates and other things! (And my sissy fit) · 10:51pm Jan 18th, 2013
So, with the release of 'Pinkie's World' I feel a blog post coming on! Aside: work on 'Love Letters' resumed back in the new year, chapter eleven is written, edited and being proof read, release is expected within the next two weeks or so, (as my proof reader is preoccupied with real life stuff.)

I was very disappointed with how 'Pinkie's World' was received, particularly because of how good of an idea it was; in hind sight, I should have written one or two other one shots in the same style before trying to write Pinkie's world. I feel the work has been wasted, It was one of those 'slave over every word' situations and—perhaps I'm being a little bitter and narsacistic, please forgive me!—I don't think it was read critically enough to be properly appreciated. I do understand that it does have its flaws—as all stories do—but I feel if it was read as one would read a story like Game Of Thrones, Catcher in The Rye or a Shakespearean play, even watch the tv show Fringe, I think the reader would be able to see the torment I made Pinkie go through in the story. And she does; I put her though torment. It is false of me to compare my tiny little twelve thousand word story to an epic such as Game of Thrones, or any of the other examples, I understand that—and don't really want to compare, but rather, use as examples.
All works should be read critically, regardless if it is the Tolkin world, a pamphlet attempting to get you to recycle, or a fife year old's first written sentence; you simply can't just assume you know what's going to be written down, and you absolutely can't assume that a work is face value. I just have the eerie theory that because the story is a fan fiction—of My Little Pony, nonetheless—people won't attempt to read into the words that are being used.
I could rant about this all day, but in the end I realise, I'm just throwing a fit. But hey, can't blame me for being sentimental. But really, read criticality.

'Spike's Hand' had been finished and is being proof read after chapter eleven, though it may need a lot more work yet—as of reason which will become clear with its release. 'Spike's Hand' is going to be a little silly and more than likely not very good, but that's not the point of it! It's a very experimental way of writing... and it only took a week to write so I'm not too worried if it crashes and burns. All I can say is that you should stretch your fingers.

Now, for the next story that's going to be written. (Keep above-eyes that I don't really see 'Spike's Hand' as a story, but a little silly side project.) It will by silly. Aside: considering how I tend to fall towards the sadder side of writing, and practically everything, I want to brake away and do some stupid stories, for fun! This story will be multi chapter, though none of the chapters will have anything in common, well, maybe in some ways. I know I might have said before that I hate cross-overs and Humans in Equestria; which is what this story is going to be; and that is exactly why I'm going to write it: it is going to be possibly the worst cross-over in fan fiction history, and it will be damn hilarious. I'm not a comedy guy but If I can pull this off (which I probably wont,) it will be glorious.
Though that's all in the future.

Edit: Oh! And of course I'm working on chapter twelve of 'Love Letters' right this exact moment, as in... right now... Yay!
