Except that I finished Rainbow Six yesterday, and I picked up Les Misérables right afterwards. I'm making this blog post just to note my start time: two years with Atlas Shrugged, six months with The Count of Monte Cristo, and about a month with both Metro 2033 and Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Seas. I'm working past my obsessive-compulsive tendencies with will alone, and I think I've gotten a lot better. With Les Misérables, I'm shooting for three months—though that's probably being a bit too generous.

Truly, the biggest challenge is going to be balancing reading, pony writing, school; and that foul temptress called Reddit, coaxing my short attention span into a false sense of security, then feeding on the valuable free time that could've gone to the former three things, and I'll curse her and swear off her—but she'll laugh, knowing I'll always keep running back to her.

So, that's it.

Oh, Rainbow Six? Enjoyable in its own right, but profoundly stupid—and, keep in mind, this is coming from a guy that writes pony fan fiction for fun. Rainbow Six was very much that stupid kind of fun we all have, and the difference between smart fun and stupid fun is the difference a Monty Python sketch and drawing dicks on your friend's face when he's passed out. The latter is funny once, but everyone feels ashamed of how stupid they were being when they sober up afterwards. I must say, the first few lines of the thought-provoking Les Misérables were quite refreshing after that.

Except Popov. He's a cool guy.
