A LOT to catch up on...

    ((TL;DR version down below))

Alright, a lot of you have been wondering where I've been the past several months, and I greatly apologize for that. I've had to take a big focus on real life. Mostly due to a few reasons:

400 Followers AND in the Popular Stories List?

Well... christ, I didn't expect that at all. Who knew after such a long hiatus that something good like this would happen? I'm just rather speechless! I mean, I not only have 400 Followers, but My Little Naruto is in the Popular Stories List! I don't think that's ever happened before.

Wait... what I just said had nothing to do with being speechless at all... Dammit!

    Gonna try Twitter out.

I normally don't use social networking websites, mainly because when it's all new and fresh, it tends to die at some point in the future. Myspace comes to mind. Ah, my High School days...

Going on Vacation for a week.

(Apologies in advance if my typing and pacing in this blog post seems awkward; the heat is killing me over here.)

Ahhh, the hot days of summer... The only time you have some substantial freedom, whether it be from school, or maybe a day-off or two from work, just so you could enjoy the brisk and bright sun tanning your body as you lay on the sandy beaches next to the ocean.

I bought an Android Tablet. · 8:43pm Jan 13th, 2013

I've been curious on what it was like to use an Android for a long time now.

I've always heard and seen advertisements for Android Phones, Android Tablets-- a lot of things for it. The thing is, I've always used an iPod Touch 2G, and that was plenty for what I needed: A portable MP3 player with internet capabilities and youtube viewing. Plus, Angry Birds. Who doesn't like Angry Birds?

But then came along the holidays, and I was in need of some kind of upgrade. My 2G was pretty outdated, stuck in the 4.2.4 update. When it comes to older Apple products, they just stop updating them entirely after a certain point is reached.

Thing is, I'm getting an iPhone at some point in the future, and I wanted something that I would use on the go without having to rely on a laptop. Plus, I travel a lot by plane. You know how hard it is to open a laptop in a plane? You just sit it on one of those tables attached to the back end of a seat, and then all of a sudden, some idiot reclines back into the chair, and closes the laptop lid partially with it! This normally happens in coach, but even then my space is ruined. No room to open a laptop when this happens, and I'm stuck with some other alternative means.

But with a Tablet (or an iPad or other iOS product), you can just hold it in front of you. Those damn things are decent in terms of weight, too.

When I compared prices with the iPad and iPad Mini, however, they were just pretty damn expensive. Then a friend of mine suggested to look at some Android Tablets. I was skeptical with thinking of getting an Android, since I've always been used to Apple's iPod Touch and other iOS products.

I did some research, however, and I found out that they're actually not that bad in price. In fact, they're a lot less restrictive than what Apple pulls out. You know how everything just depends on iTunes, unless you jailbreak the damn thing? Well, not the Android it seems. It's like a dumbed down Laptop.

I had to be careful though, since some Tablets had more problems than the rest. My first choice was me getting an ASUS T300 Tablet, since I thought they were pretty reliable. Hell, I've got an ASUS Motherboard in my gaming PC, and it hasn't failed me yet.

But then I looked at the reviews and frowned. It seemed to have hardware issues and it had some power problems, especially with screen vulnerabilities. Don't you just hate it when you depend on a certain company, they screw up in some form or another?

I didn't want to risk it, since I wanted to get something that would last for a long time. Then there was the more common choice: A Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Now I hear those things are pretty sturdy, especially its Note counterpart. But the problem was that it was a remodelled version of an older tablet, and it was a bit slow and incompatible with other Android apps, so that shut me off a bit.

It was then I came across the love of my life... the Acer A210. Now honestly, I use an Acer laptop, and they're a pretty sturdy company from my experience. Plus, with a $299 pricetag, I figured it would be worth a purchase. Reviews were good, and I didn't see too many negatives, so I decided "to hell with it" and purchased it.

I gotta admit, I don't regret it so far. My main reasons for getting it was the pretty decent battery life, reading e-books and manga, and playing some games on it while on the go. I'm sure I can find other uses for it, but there's a lot of apps to go through.

Only problem: Some apps are more efficient than others, and there seems to be similar copies that do the same thing, either it doing better than others or worse than others. I've noticed this more with the Ebook readers and Manga Reader Apps, oh, and also the SNES Emulators.

It's hard to figure out which one is better than the other, so I'm stuck in a never-ending loop of finding what's better than the other. I'm curious to know what apps would be useful in an Android Tablet, though? I'd love to hear your personal opinions on this.

Oh, also... free Angry Birds, yay!

I use an Android phone for literally everything since I don't have a computer, so, a tablet is probably good as well.

Plus, Angry Birds. Who doesn't like Angry Birds?

*raises hand*

coulda asked me. I've had an Android tablet for almost two years, and this thing, like Ron Burgundy, is the balls.

709389 708831 I just don't like the game.

I think it's because everyone has their own opinions on games. For example, I don't like Sport games. I rarely play them. Same goes for puzzle games, although there are a few exceptions.

People play games because they find it addicting and fun, but there's always a few games we don't like out there.

709632 so because I don't like a game, it means I suck at it? Because that makes total sense.

709808 nah, I just don't like the game. I don't find it interning.
