New Story, New Character

One of my biggest problems with writing stories is that I can never control what stories I've got going on in my head at any given time.

One moment, I'm trying to come up with a plot and write some stuff down for my current story (I was fully intending to do that MLP/creepypasta fic with Jeff and Pinkie), and then the next minute, I suddenly get this wild idea in my head to make a new character and put him in a story.

Now, even though the Jeffy one still exists in the background and will eventually be written... I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to do anything with it until I do this new story, at least partially.

It all started out with a stuffed toy...

So, I went to Hastings a few weeks ago and found this super cute stuffed zebra with these huge, round, bright, lime-green eyes and green ears and hooves to match. Since its a Ty baby, it already came with the name "Zig-Zag," but I don't really like that name, so I've been trying to think of a replacement. In the meantime, I'm calling it Zebby, but I seriously don't want that one to stick, either.
Anyway, what makes this toy relevant to FIMFiction is that I've actually decided to turn him into a MLP character and put him into a story.
Problem? He still doesn't have a proper name.

Since he's still just a little foal, he doesn't yet have a cutie mark, and his personality isn't all that well developed yet. The one thing I do know about him is that he is, in the story, Zecora's nephew, and he is coming to Ponyville for a year as an exchange student and wishes to join the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

I'm thinking, because of the green colour, that his name should include the word lime somehow, but at the same time, I don't want it to be like a regular pony name, because he is, after all, a zebra and should probably have some sort of African-sounding name like his Aunt Zecora. (By the way, does anypony know if Zecora is an actual African name or if it's just made up? Maybe I should Google that...)

Anyway, if anypony has any naming-suggestions for this new character, please feel free to share them.
