    To haters

First off, let me say I know this doesn’t belong on any fanfiction sites that I am likely to put it on, but I needed to get this out. Is sort of a letter/to haters, not just the anti-bronies. Some of my readers on some sites that I am posting this are unaware that I am a brony. I was keeping this hidden because I didn’t want to loose any readers, but I honestly don't care anymore.

Dear haters,
Okay, I don’t really know how to say this so I will just jump in and you try as best as you can to keep up. So, you hate on us because we like a show that you don’t? Because we are different from your so called ‘normal’? Well I have got news for you. Everyone’s view of normal is different. You get together and talk to your fellow haters and unless you talk about the same subject of hating whatever it is, then you will notice differences in your opinions of normal. They may like something else that you don’t. Will you hate on them now? And in our opinion, maybe you aren’t normal. Imagine this now, you just met someone and started talking about something you both enjoy, and find you have a lot in common. Maybe you start dating, maybe you stay friends. Up to you. Anyway, one day, you are talking about your favorite show, when they confess that they like my little pony or something you don't like. Do you break off a good relationship over one small thing because your opinions differ? That would be the easy way out. Almost half of the show my little pony’s fanbase, are males between 15 and 35. Does that make us gay? No. I myself am straight but not against gay. One thing I want to know, since when is being gay a crime? Or wrong? Maybe by some religions it is wrong, but as much as most of you cuss at us, its not very likely you are in a religion. I am a 15 year old boy, in a relationship with a girl that knows I like the show. She does not, but we avoid the subject. That’s what you should do. If you hate something, avoid it. For example, on ifunny (app for ios and android systems) I see a whole lot of pictures that are completely stupid with hundreds of likes and I usually only see one pony picture a day, with hundreds of dislikes. Granted, a lot of it is art and belongs on devianart, or imgur, not ifunny. But some of them are hilarious and are disliked because of who is in them. If they were used with a different set of characters from a popular show, they would have a ton of likes. One time, I did a test and posted a joke with characters from My little pony, and then posted the same joke with characters from naurato. The my little pony had almost 200 dislikes in two days while the naurato had 500 likes. Judge the jokes by the joke, not the character in the joke. And as far as the art goes, I don’t spend as much time on art sites as I do on ifunny so I am not deep into them, but I see art with a lot of dislikes because it is my little pony. I cannot draw, so I asked a friend to do the test for me. We had pretty much the same result. You can’t change us, or chase us off, we are here to stay. My only problem with my fellow fanartists is that we often put art on ifunny and jokes on devianart. If we put them in the right place it would be better. But whitch would you rather see on ifunny, a kik, or a good joke with ponies. A rate, or some original comedy with ponies. My best friend is an anti-brony and knows that I am a brony. We avoid the subject and I have brought him to realize we cannot be changed and we are not...weird, because we like something different. When the first season was in the working, the director was trying to make something targeted to all audiences, not just six year old girls. I admit, the show is a bit more...pink, than most boys shows, but I judge it based on the show, not the artwork. A joke is not meant to be judged by the artwork, artwork is not meant to be judged by the characters, and t.v. shows are just there. In closing, if any haters have made it this far, next time you see a picture of something you don’t like, before disliking it, consider what site your on, then look at the related part of it. If it doesn’t match up, dislike it if you must, but don’t leave a hateful comment. We are all human beings, and what you say may sometimes hurt us, but remember this, its only one part of us your seeing, not the whole picture. If you still feel the need to dislike something because you don’t like it, when you come across it, just skip it. Ignore it. We are usually in our own little areas, we don't try to overtake yours, we just want a part in it. I am sorry if I have bored everyone and I know I am kind of a hypocrite for posting this some places I will, but it needs to get out. Thank you all for reading!

You're a bit late, mate...heh, that rhymes...

Anyways, the subculture that we represent has been around for long enough that most don't even care. So all...this...doesn't matter too much.

1132803 You must have been working on that rhyme all day. Your claim isnt completely true. Some people don't care, some do. Just because you're in the part that doesn't care doesn't mean that most people don't care. Somehow I doubt you've seen the entire fandom and asked if they care or not, so you can't simply say most people don't care. This was simply something I wrote in my spare time.

You must have been working on that rhyme all day.

Don't openly insult others when you're not in a good situation to critique someone's literary or mental capabilities.

1132803 Out of the whole comment, that's what you replied to?

It certainly catches the eye, being the first sentence of your paragraph. And, yes, all of these stories are generally done in spare time. They're a leisurely hobby; nobody is an intent fanfiction writer, nor do they do it for pay or publication. But writing a decent-ass story should be important.

Being good at writing literature and having good grammar and having a grasp on character development is still important, no matter what you do.

If you're doing it without giving a shit, then you might as well write and keep it to yourself.

1132890 This isn't a story. And I think you need to re-read it and take some of it's advice.

1132891

That would be lovely, but that massive wall of text is making my eyes bleed.

1132898 Then you shouldn't gripe about what you haven't read. You're beginning to sound like a hater. Judging something without knowing it.

too long did not read
