Happy Holidays and all that jazz. · 10:35pm Dec 25th, 2012
Sup guys.
I'm sure you've gotten it enough, but Happy Holidays anyway! Ha!
Anyway, Chapter 8 of "What The Night Remembers" is in the tweaking and proofing phase. It came in a little short, but I don't think there is anything I can add without blowing the balance of the next few sections I had planned. In addition, the story is going to wrap up soon once I cover the ground I want to. There will be a few things to cover and I want to leave myself open to a sequel, should folks like it. So we'll see what happens.
I've made a few edits to the previous chapters, mainly correcting a plethora of grammatical errors I made. I did make one edit to correct an issue of continuity. In Chapter 4, during Luna and Celestia's discussion, there was a reference to Luna holding Night Court. In the context of the story as it ran and is planned, this made little sense, so I gave it a ninja delete. Everything else was merely cosmetic.
Anyway, here's a preview for Chapter 8. As always, try not to read overly much into it:
"What is it you are hoping to find then?" Luna asked.
"Evidence."
"Of what?" Luna asked as she set her quill down.
"Blackmail," Applejack absently answered.
"It should suffice to say that, should [she] return, it will be by design. She will be by herself," Luna's face took on a very even look, "And it shall be as a practice dummy."
'Ya know something,' Applejack fed her thoughts to the lunar body, 'What is it?'
"Ow!" Luna blurted as her eyes formed perfect circles, her daze broken.
"Moon. Raise. Good," Applejack remarked.
