Challenge from a Friend · 7:11am Dec 23rd, 2012
Okay, I have this friend -- let's call him Mr.X. I had asked him to read my newest story which has this holiday-esque, rhyming tone to it and he seems to be mildly impressed. Ant this is how the challenge started:
After reading my newest story, he said, "Not bad," as he looked at me with his eyebrow raised. "How about this," he spoke up as he raised a finger in thought. "I'll give you a challenge and if you have the courage to do it, I'll give that pony cartoon that you highly praise about a shot?"
So, I looked at him with confusion plastered across my face. "What's the challenge?" I asked with doubt yet interest in my voice.
"You make a story that rhyme through and through about how the pony things celebrate their Christmas," he answered me with an amused grin on his face.
"Okay..." I started, tapping my chin in though. "Who will be the characters featured in the story?" I asked, looking at him with anxiety started to cloud my mind.
"Everyone," he answered, grinning.
"The hell?!" I shouted, clearly shocked. "That's about 100+ ponies," I continued as my eyes started to dart by the ridiculousness of the challenge.
"Fine," he sighed in defeat. "Tell a story on how the main character's celebrate their Christmas thing-a-bob," he answered flatly.
"With dialogue? That's going to be hard," I mumbled, looking away.
"Fine," he sighed again. "Without dialogue," he continued as he slowly became more and more annoyed by my questions and complaints.
"Sure, I'll try," I said, nodding slowly in thought.
And so starts my quest to create a story that rhymes all the way to the end on how the Mane 6 celebrate Hearth's Warming Eve. This is going to be hard and I might not be able to accomplish it, either way, wish me luck. I'm going to need it.
