Hearth's Warming Eve Story Rhyming Time! · 12:26pm Dec 23rd, 2012
T’was a cold and silent winter night in Ponyville, everypony was in their home to escape the winter chill. Everypony enjoyed their Hearth’s Warming Eve, sitting next to the warm fire and never wanted to leave. There was an odd family in Ponyville’s library, celebrating the event like everypony. There was a purple unicorn mare with a dark purple tail and mane, who was decorating a Christmas tree with bells and candy cane. She has magical potential that nopony can exceed, her name was Twilight Sparkle, a scholar, student and a friend indeed.
She has a baby dragon that she really likes, a purple young dragon with many green spikes. Spike was his name and a dragon like no other, Twilight often treats him like her little brother. Spike was sitting next to the busy mare, wrapped in a blanket as he rocked in a rocking chair. He coughed and sniffed as he had a little cold, when he disregarded what Twilight had foretold. Running in the snow sure was fun, but one can get sick in the long run.
Twilight cheered as she finished decorating the tree, her smile was beaming with pure excitement and glee. The tree was decorated with many Christmas ornaments, that Twilight positively sure it would win in a Christmas tree tournament. They shared many giggles and laughs through all the night, forgetting the days where they had some fights.
Off to a pink pony’s house which was made with gingerbread, a house that often filled with fun and laughter but never with dread. There was an earth pony mare with a puffy pink mane and tail, she always makes new friends and she never fails. Pinkie Pie was her name, yes her name indeed, and she always there for a friend, for a friend in need. Pinkie Pie was certainly a wild party pony; she can easily make anypony feel incredibly happy. Next to her was her two favorite foals, making them happy was always her goal. Pumpkin and Pound Cake were their names, two young toddlers that nopony could tame. They all had laughs and giggles together, forging a strong bond as brother and sister.
“Ho ho ho,” cheered Mr.Cake, who had a long white beard which was certainly fake. He wore a fuzzy red coat with a fuzzy red hat, pretending that he was not their dad. He gave out presents from a big green sack, so many presents that they would stack. Mrs.Cake giggled next to her husband, looking at the amused expressions of the young children.
The name Sweet Apple Acres carries some familiarity, because it was owned by none other than the Apple Family. An orange cowpony mare had a smile on her face, as her family members were all in place. They sat together at the dining room table, served with a large feast than can be only seen in a fable. The cowpony mare had the name Applejack, where her kick can break anything with a sickening crack. She was an honest mare through and through; she never tells a lie to the old or the new.
Next to her was her big brother Big Mac, which often wears a yoke around his neck. A burly stallion with a thick red coat, who had a strength to lift a small wooden boat. He was a soft spoken stallion and that is no lie, but he often kept his silence and nopony knows why. To his right was his other little sister, who has the energy as a little twister. Applebloom was certainly her name, and cutie mark discovering was her game. She was a curious young filly on a search her for her true nature, as she wants to discover her bright and brilliant future. Last but not least was Granny Smith, an elderly mare who was exciting to live with. Even though she was an elderly pony, she certainly still strong and still very feisty.
Off we go to a place up high, to a house made of clouds in the dark winter sky. A rainbow maned pegasus flew briskly by, as she was teaching a young pegasus filly to fly. Rainbow Dash was her name and being the best was her game. She can fly super fast that nopony could match, even the fastest pegasus could never catch. Next to her was an orange pegasus filly, whose eyes filled with happiness and glee. Her wings buzzed excitedly on her back, when she saw Rainbow Dash performed aerial skills with knack. The little filly was known as Scootaloo, who had mad skills on a scooter than anypony could do. She always dreamed to spread her wings and fly, to touch and zip through the wide blue sky.
Next was a place that bears the word unique, which was Rarity’s Carousel Boutique. A white coated mare with a curly purple mane and tail, a pony who has an eye for details. She danced and hummed around a pedestal, placing finishing touches on a dress for the Hearth’s Warming Festival. She clapped her hooves with glee as the dress was done; she levitated it in the air with excitement and spun. Her eyes sparkled to her little sister, with a grin that was anything but sinister. Sweetie Belle was the filly’s name, questing for her cutie mark was her game. A white coated filly with a light pink curly mane and tail, who has the voice of a thousand angels. They both spent their night by creating dresses, filling the home with giggles and laughters.
Last but not least was a cottage near the Everfree forest, which was owned by a shy yet kind pegasus. A butterscotch pegasus with a flowing pink mane and Fluttershy was the shy mare’s name. She sat quietly with her cuddly critter friends, as they remembered the fun times they spent. The pegasus mare cuddled the cute critters together, wishing that they would stay with her forever.
Therefore this tale has comes to an end, about a holiday where we all should make amends. So my faithful readers I have to take my leave, so I wish you all a Merry Hearth’s Warming Eve.
This story was done in 3 hours time. It was a blast and a pain to write yet I enjoyed every moment of it. Happy Holidays, everypony!
